Be the work of only the exhibiting artist

Be original composition

Be for sale or be NFS example for commissions

Ready to hang, framed, gallery wrap, NO stretch canvases and have D rings.

No smaller than 10 x 8 No larger than 42 x 42

 

ALL SALES:  Sales transactions will be handled by the exhibiting artist. 

The RCAS treasurer will enable the purchaser and artist contacts. A QR code and email for the treasurer will be posted on show wall .

Artists are required to facilitate the sale, pay all taxes and fees. A 25% donation fee will be paid to RCAS no later than the close of the show.

Artwork cannot be removed prior to the end of the show, without special permission from show chair.

This CALL will Open August 1st, 2026

THIS RCAS FALL MEMBERSHIP SHOW

WILL HANG IN THE COLLIN COUNTY PLANO ART GALLERY

FROM SEPTEMBER 22ND TO OCTOBER 22ND 2026


Funded in part by the City of Richardson through the Richardson Cultural Arts Commission


MISSION

The mission of this project is to provide to a diverse group of artists a place to exhibit their artwork. This will be accomplished in an art exhibition where they can display their work in a public gallery setting.

CALL FOR ARTISTS:

 

Artists are invited to create original works of art:

Artist Prompts:


  • Line, shape, color, and the use of space within an artwork that depicts the artist's vision.
  • Creativity and originality that demonstrates a quality representation.
  • Energy or movement within an artwork that is an expression of illumination.

 This exhibition is open to all artists of all ages (18 and over), ethnicity, and backgrounds. Show is open to new and established artists.


MEDIA REQUIREMENTS

2D Artwork only. Must be original content of the entering artist. No collaborations or classroom works.


Artwork should be current; nothing created over 2 years prior to show. 


size should be no smaller than 8 x 10 plus frame and no larger than 42 x 42 plus frame.


2D art must be framed, on gallery wrapped canvas, or hangable (wired or with 3D hooks, no sawtooth hangers) or it will not be accepted.

 

NO 3 D artwork can be entered. 

The gallery will not install any hardware required to hang the piece. The artist must submit art that is ready to hang.

Each piece must have "D" rings mounted to the back.


Artist should indicate on the back of the piece their name, the name of the piece and contact info.


Works of photography and drawings must be mated and framed. 


Artwork must be family friendly.

No nudes.

No political content.

No religious content. 


SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Entry fees are due at the time of entry submission. Entry fees are non-refundable.

All artwork must be for sale. Each artist can enter up to three pieces. 


RCAS will take a commission of 25% of any work sold. All sales will be transacted by the artist. 


Sale connections will be made thru the RCAS treasurer.


Commissions are due prior to the show coming down and the artwork being removed. (paid to Treasurer)

All art must be submitted online through the form below.


Please no emails, texts, or social media DMs for submitting your art.

Artists may submit a maximum of three works of art for the curator’s consideration. 


ARTWORK PHOTOS

Please submit images that are saved as high-resolution files. Please submit an image of only the art, no background on the sides. Our submittal platform can accept files that are up to 5MB in size. Most smart phones have cameras that take high resolution images.  


GALLERY AGREEMENT

The RCAS chair, gallery director, and the judge will make a final decision for the selection of entries for the show. They will review photographs of completed artwork only. The decision of the committee is final.


Unless otherwise communicated by the artist, RCAS has permission to use photos of accepted entries for promotional and educational purposes is considered permitted.

DELIVERY, LIABILITY, AND INSURANCE

Any accepted artwork that is delivered after the scheduled drop off dates listed above will not be included in the exhibition.


RCAS AND THE CCCC GALLERY, will not be responsible for damage, loss, or wear and tear of any work while in transit to be delivered. All reasonable care will be given to each work of art once it is received. 


. The artist will be asked to sign a waiver releasing both organizations from any liability.
