2025-2026 Board of Directors Members
EXECUTIVE BOARD OF DIRECTORS (EBOD)
PRESIDENT, Cheryl Mabry - As president, they will be representing the organization with the City and will oversee all Board of Directors (BOD) meetings, member meetings, shows, and events.
VICE PRESIDENT of Shows, Laura Johnson - As vice president of shows, they will be overseeing all shows and helping all show chairs with assigning tasks and making show decisions.
VICE PRESIDENT of Meetings & Demonstrations, Judith Pafford - As vice president of membership meetings and demonstrations, they will be booking demo artists, handling their contracts, and introducing them to the membership.
TREASURER, Sherry Jones - As treasurer, they handle all transactions of monies for the organization and complete the grant funding application for the city of Richardson. They will work closely with the BOD to keep our organization on a sound financial footing.
SECRETARY, Julia Beaton - As secretary, they will compile the BOD minutes, agendas, and recordings for our permanent records.
PARLIAMENTARIAN, Jonesy McConnell - As parliamentarian, they will be sure that the BOD staff follows proper etiquette and organization procedures for all meetings.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS (BOD)
MARKETING CHAIR, Lynn Barrett - They will focus on community representation, assist in marketing RCAS events, coordinate with the webmaster, maintain social media platforms, and take photographs at RCAS events.
DONATIONS AND SHOW AWARDS CHAIR, Gail Chandler - They will contact merchants to obtain donations and awards for all shows.
WELCOMING CHAIR / ART OF THE MONTH CHAIR, Carol Marks & Terri Hennessey – They will welcome everyone to our meetings, hand out name tags, and handle the monthly meeting art contest.
2025 FALL MEMBERSHIP SHOW CHAIR (Huffhines Rec. Ctr), Jodi Pena - They will work with PAA and our membership to oversee all aspects of our 2025 Fall Membership Show.
2026 SPRING MEMBERSHIP SHOW CHAIR, (LLUMC), Cheryl Mabry & Linda Matthews - They will oversee our 2026 Spring Membership Show and work with ArtReach at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church (LLUMC), Watson Hall.
AUDIO VISUAL AND ZOOM CHAIR, Cheryl Mabry & Sherry Jones – They will run the audio/visual equipment for meetings and enable the live Zoom broadcasts.
MEMBER MEETING REFRESHMENTS CHAIR, Linda Matthews - They schedule refreshments for all membership meetings and, when needed, for show receptions.
AREA SHOW LEAD CHAIR, Dan Myers – They will be responsible for coordinating year-round exhibits, managing artwork rotations, and supporting the organization of area shows.
2026 REGIONAL SHOW CHAIR, (EISEMANN CTR), TBD – (We need 2 volunteers) - This is our largest and most visible show of the year, open to artists from across the entire state of Texas. It is the only RCAS exhibition that welcomes non-member artists. The show chairs collaborate with the Eisemann Center, the Board of Directors, and CAFÉ to coordinate and produce this prestigious event.
HUFFHINES YEAR-ROUND SHOW CHAIR, Dan Myers & you – They will handle this year-round show and all aspects of the artwork rotation.
YOUNG PEOPLE’S SHOW CHAIR, (RISD), Ted Houston & Andrew Calkin – They coordinate with Myron Stennett, Richardson ISD, to sponsor the annual student art show, overseeing all event logistics and maintaining all correspondence with the district on behalf of the organization.
TOWER 2600 & CITY HALL SHOW CHAIR, Dan Myer & you – (We need another volunteer) - Both exhibits operate year-round. Another volunteer is needed to help manage artwork rotations for these sites.
HEIGHTS SOLO SHOW CHAIR, Dan Myers & you – (We need another volunteer) - This exhibit offers a unique opportunity for our members to present a solo show featuring approximately 15 pieces. We’re seeking an additional volunteer to assist with scheduling and coordinating artwork change-outs for this exhibit.
WEBMASTER, Michelle Wilson - They manage and maintain our website. Please send any pictures or information that you wish to have posted.
VOTING POLICY:
Please note: All BOD members are voting members. If a member holds more than one position, they are entitled to only one vote.
In the event of a tie or dispute, the President and two Vice Presidents will review the matter and conduct a re-vote to determine the final outcome.
