A native-born Texan (and Dallasite!) I have all my art education and experience in Texas.  A  B. A. degree from West Texas State A & M University (West Texas State when I attended) and several watercolor courses at Dallas-area Junior Colleges, as well as workshops, comprise my art education.  Being married, with two grown daughters and 5 grandchildren, I have limited time for art, but it is my love and joy.  My medias include watercolor, mixed media, pastel and collage.  I have been a board member and chair of two art shows for the Richardson Civic Art Society, entered all shows sponsored by RCAS and have been fortunate to win several awards. 

Artist's Statement

Art, being my major in school, has naturally been my most beloved subject and past time.  I especially enjoy creating non-representational subjects, although I have tried to create images of places special to me, usually from photos or sketches on location.  I am discovering the immediacy of pastel and vibrant color options it offers.  Art is my joy and peace and I hope my creations can share these emotions with you, as you view them.
